We helped transform a concept into a living travel community. Overlap is a React Native app designed for people on the move, helping them plan trips, track adventures, and share experiences seamlessly across iOS and Android.

About the Project
Overlap is a travel app built for modern explorers. It brings trip planning, navigation, booking, and local insights together in one place. The goal was to create an intuitive, high-performing platform that lets users focus on discovery while technology takes care of the rest.
Client’s Needs
The idea began with a vision: to unite a community of travellers and adventure-seekers. The founders wanted a mobile app that would make trip organisation effortless: from planning and connecting with other travellers to solving the small but time-consuming tasks that often complicate travel. Our task was to turn this concept into a functional, engaging product that users would return to every time they plan their next journey.
The Development Journey
We started by creating a landing page to validate the idea and measure early interest while keeping the initial budget lean. Once the designs were ready, our team moved into development. We built a simple but effective website, supported the product team in launching initial marketing campaigns, and soon, the first users joined the waitlist.
With proven demand, the next step was the core app itself: a space where travellers could connect, plan, and share their experiences in real time. From this foundation, Overlap began to grow into a social hub for explorers worldwide.

The app connects like-minded travellers, enabling them to view friends’ upcoming trips, receive notifications about shared plans, and update wishlist destinations together. Planning group adventures has never been simpler.
- Nomad Maps
With Nomad Maps, users can discover where their friends or even public travellers plan to go next. This feature keeps the community connected and helps travellers meet nearby explorers in real life.
